LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DO ON A FRIDAY NIGHT ?
WHY NOT COME AND TRY OUT YOUTH ZONE!
NEW TERM SEPTEMBER 2013:
We have a training session for the adults on 6th September so there will be NO JUNIORS that night. Seniors WILL start on the 6th and Juniors on the 13th.
** We currently have no waiting list for Juniors or Seniors so spread the word if you know someone who may be interested ! **
Who Can Join?
Winterslow Youth Zone is open to anyone in Years 4 to 7 (Juniors) and Year 8 and over (Seniors) and exists to provide an opportunity for young people to socialise, learn new skills and have fun. We are open to Winterslow and the surrounding villages.
What Is There To Do?
A well stocked tuck shop! A table tennis table, pool table, table football, two Wii systems, board games and sports equipment, (& coming soon) a wireless broadband system and new ICT equipment. We also have an X-Box for Seniors to use.
Activities we have planned for September and October include….
Seniors – cookery (doughnuts, sausage rolls, making fresh pasta and sauce) fingerprinting; screen printing; quiz and puzzle night; challenge night; making fabric noticeboards
Juniors – rounders; fingerprinting; cookery (apple crumble & oat and raisin cookies); bingo; apple bobbing; crafts; challenge night
All activities are optional and there are no additional costs.
How Much Does It Cost?
There is a one-off membership fee of £1 on joining, then weekly fees are £1.50 for Juniors and £1 for Seniors.
How Do We Join?
Juniors – come along on any Friday from 13th September onwards at 6.15pm, fill in a membership form (parents) and pay your membership fee then enjoy yourself!
Seniors – come along on any Friday from 6th September onwards at 8pm, sign in as a new member and either get a parent to fill in your membership form there and then, or take one and bring it with you the following week.
‘Try Before You Buy!’
Potential members are welcome to come along as a visitor (£2 entry fee) to try out Youth Zone before signing up for membership, to give it a try first. Once membership is taken out, you can bring guests on a one-off basis for a £2 fee.
