Welcome to the website for Winterslow Youth Zone!
We hope that we can use the website to keep everyone in up to date with plans and to show everyone what we get up to! It's also somewhere that parents can come for information (and, note to parents!) we are always grateful for more help on a Friday! Any help, whether on a regular, casual, general or specialised basis is more than welcome. Perhaps you can offer a particular activity that our young people would be interested in? "Tis the season to be .. " well, lots of things but on the look out for snow for one ! Our SNOW POLICY is to follow that of the Winterslow Primary School. So, if the school is closed, WYZ will also be closed .. sorry! If for any reason we differ from that we will be sure to make an urgent update to this site.
So this update we have a newsletter update and some changes / clarification to our visitors policy - please be sure to read them!

NOTICE BOARD ***IMPORTANT CHANGES REGARDING VISITORS TO YOUTH ZONE***
The Committee is keen to ensure we keep all of our members and visitors as safe as possible. Please could all parents/guardians note the following reminders and amendments:
JUNIORS AND SENIORS:
• Booking guest spaces is no longer required
• Guests are limited to ONE per member, per night
• Guests are charged at £2 per visit
• Guests may ONLY attend at the invitation of a member – the member who brings them is responsible for ensuring their guest’s behaviour is appropriate
• Guests must sign to say they will abide by the rules and respect the volunteers running the club
• Guests who do not abide by the rules or disrespect volunteers will not be allowed to return
JUNIORS ONLY:
• Guests MUST be signed in upstairs by an ADULT and permission given for emergency first aid and medical intervention if necessary
• An emergency contact number and details of any medical conditions or allergies must be provided on the sign in sheet
• Guests must sign to say they will abide by the rules and respect the volunteers running the club
SENIORS ONLY:
• Senior guests must fill in the guest signing in sheet IN FULL – first name and surname, emergency contact number and name of the member they have come with
• Guests may only attend once during any three month period – if they wish to attend more frequently a membership form must be completed and returned
Please help us to make Youth Zone as safe as possible by signing in guests and giving us the relevant information for Juniors, and reiterating the system to Seniors. Many thanks for your help.

We are beginning to find parents are arriving later and later to collect their Juniors.... PLEASE make every effort to pick up your children at 8pm as our volunteers deserve to leave on time! Thank you. |
